Project # 2
Your presentation will be a brief introduction (and PowerPoint/Slides) on the history of your topic so that people unfamiliar with the topic can follow your along. Your goal is to be thorough, but also concise and entertaining. Even though you will probably only need a handful of slides for this part, make sure you still do your best to follow the principals of design and not clutter the information. This short presentation will bleed into and set the stage for your speech.
Once your have introduced the history of your topic, your job is to take a innovation unique to the Dark Ages, and inform us, your audience about why it it is still relevant. This portion of the presentation should be 2-4 minutes and should aim to persuade the class regarding the value of your topic.
Regarding logistics, you will need to practice to make sure that you meet the time requirements. This is meant to mimic a professional speech so try and put some thought into appropriate dress and make sure to work on things like volume, rate of speech and confidence. You are welcome to utilize note cards or your written speech when presenting but eye contact should remain predominantly on the crowd/camera.
**When you turn this project in, include your videotaped speech, your citation page, your timeline, and a copy of your PowerPoint.(or Slides) **
