Hello,
I want to start by saying I truly appreciate you reaching out to check in on Jason's grades, and to allay any fear you may have about his progress in the class. The Map Skills Packet score he had recorded reflected that he was missing a large section of the neccesary answers, I was able to locate his missing work in with another set of quizzes they had completed. After adding those points in to his grade he is at a C and will likely be near a B when I have entered a score for his recent project.

The states/capital test is not currently counting for or against him, it is set up as a 1 point per capital and 1 point per state correctly identified and spelled. Jason is among the group of students I believe I will soon be able to add to the list of people who have reached the 100/100 level as his last effort was 90+. The test is really an attempt to drive home the importance of getting ourself over artificial goal lines that are placed for us, Jason was a massive improvement between attempts one and two on that test, which speaks highly of his dedication and effort in and out of the class.

I am sorry for any stress this may have caused him, I did try to stress to the students the value that our weekly vocabulary quizzes would have early on in our class, as we get farther along they will remain important but will have less impact on the overall grade. This is the second semester I have had the pleasure of teaching Jason, and would like to reiterate my appreciation for his effort level and presence in my class.

Best Regards,

Thomas Wilson
